Fat Women Have More Sex

Who said that body mass index is a hindrance to having sex? Stereotyped overweight and obese women were once believed to have a less active sex life compared to that of women with normal weight. However, the results of a recent research states otherwise.

According to the study, 92% of overweight and obese women reported having a history of sexual intercourse. On the other hand, 87% of women with normal weight admits to the same thing. This study thus shows that overweight and obese women are more sexually active compared to women with normal weight.

This is reflective of the fact that overweight and obese women nowadays are not having self-image problems and are not thinking less of them just because they do not have the perfect figure.

If your partner is an overweight and obese woman who is struggling with poor self-image along with an unhealthy outlook in life, here are a few ideas that you may want to share with her to at least help her have a more positive perception on herself:

  • Tell her that you are sexually attracted to her, whether she seems to want to hear it or not.
  • Listen to her when she talks about her weight and make her understand that physical appearance alone doesn’t spell attractiveness for a woman.
  • Do some soul-searching and remember whether you’ve done or said something that has made your partner feel bad about her weight and make up for it the best way that you know how
  • Make it a habit to mention positive things about her so that she also learns to appreciate herself more

These suggestions are merely guides. How a woman perceives herself largely depends on her overall experience not only as an adult, but also as a little child.

Sex is good. It’s an enjoyable activity and it has many implications. But sex isn’t everything. So do not worry, because there is nothing that can heal a person’s self-esteem easier than knowing that they are accepted and loved.
