Nuts are also known to contain zinc which can also reach low levels due to stress. Nuts also contain vitamin E which is known to fight of the damage caused by stress.

Whole Grains

Whole grains are also known to be good comfort foods to help relieve stress and anxiety. They are known to be rich in tryptophan, an amino acid that converts serotonin in the brain, promoting a sense of calmness and relaxation.


Tea is also known to help sooth nerves and helps you calm down. Choose a decaffeinated variety or it might have the opposite effect.
